COMMON NAME: BLUE FESCUE GRASS
Pot Size: 14cm / (6″) / 140mm
Festuca glauca, commonly known as Blue Fescue, is a compact, ornamental grass valued for its fine, icy blue foliage and clumping habit. Typically growing to about 15 to 30 cm tall and wide, this low-maintenance grass forms neat, rounded mounds that add a cool-toned contrast to garden beds and borders.
In late spring to early summer, it produces delicate, upright flower spikes that rise slightly above the foliage, starting off bluish and maturing to a soft tan.
Blue Fescue thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, performing best in cooler climates. It is often used as an edging plant, in rock gardens, mass plantings, or as a textural accent in mixed containers. Its drought tolerance and evergreen nature in milder climates make it a popular choice for low-water and low-maintenance landscapes.\
