Elephantipes or also known as spineless or soft tipped yucca is a small evergreen tree. It develops a thick branching trunk at the base which is similar to that of an elephant’s foot. Through summer and autumn it blooms with white flowers. The yucca is adaptable to a wide range of climates and it is drought and frost tolerant. It’s best used indoors as a feature pot plant, or outdoors to add magnificent contrast to any garden, hence why it is often sought after variety by Architects.
