COMMON NAME: NATIVE VIOLET
Pot Size: 14cm / (6″) / 140mm
Viola hederacea, commonly known as native violet, is a gorgeous Australian native ground cover with dark green, heart-shaped / ivy-like leaves. Small, pale violet and white flowers appear throughout the year. Viola hederacea is primarily grown for ornamental purposes. It makes an attractive groundcover in gardens, especially in shady or semi-shady areas. It’s ideal for creating a lush carpet under trees or along the edges of garden beds. Native Violet can tolerate full sun but prefers a shade or semi-shade position.
Prune regularly to control the spread and feed in the warmer months to ensure optimal colour and growth rate.
