An exotic carnivorous plant that produces ‘pitchers’ or jug shaped leaves and cascading stems. Insects that land on the edge of these pitchers and fall in are dissolved to produce nutrients for the plant. Nepenthes prefer to grow in shady moist tropical conditions with high humidity. Keep moist at all times. Do not apply fertiliser.
