Magnolia grandiflora Little Gem boasts an exquisite appearance that lends a touch of timeless elegance to any landscape. This evergreen shrub or small tree has dark green, glossy leaves of a leathery texture, and a furry, brown underside creating a lush and visually appealing canopy. In late spring and intermittently through the summer and autumn, Magnolia grandiflora Little Gem produces large, creamy white flowers imbued with a delightful lemon fragrance.
CARE AND GROWTH:
Magnolia grandiflora Little Gem prefers well-drained soil and a position in full sun to part shade. Adequate water is essential, especially during dry periods. However, it’s important not to let the soil become waterlogged. For the first twelve weeks after planting, water regularly until the plant establishes itself. During hot or windy days, increase watering.
Prune in spring to maintain its shape and remove any dead or damaged branches. Magnolia grandiflora Little Gem usually requires less pruning than its larger Southern magnolia counterpart.
