Euonymus Emerald N Gold is one of the most versatile evergreen shrubs around. There are many varieties both green and variegated but the Euonymus Fortunei ‘Emerald ‘n’ Gold’ is one of the most common. It has golden bright variegated foliage which then turns to an attractive pinkish-red in winter, making the plant ideal for adding winter colour to the garden. It makes for a fantastic specimen shrub, a low informal hedge or even as a climber on walls. It is best to prune back by roughly one third in the first spring after planting to encourage better growth.
